K5 Graduation Believe it or not our time in Kindergarten is coming to a close. After a year of learning a variety of components in kindergarten, graduation is a time of great excitement for the little ones to become First graders! The students have been working so hard all year long and it really shows! The teachers here at BCA would like thank you for sharing your children with us each day. We have enjoyed watching them grow academically, physically and as always, spiritually. It has been amazing to see how your children have grown and changed throughout the course of the school year. The time that we have been able to spend with your child will be treasured always. Take time to pray for each student as they are about to enter a new season in life! Make plans to join us for Kindergarten graduation on Thursday, May 16th at 7 p.m ![]() Ships and History On Wednesday, April 24th some of our students took a deck tour of the tall ship Lynx stationed in the coastal wasters of Brunswick. We learned that the Lynx is an authentic replica of the ship built in 1812. the Lynx helped to defend American freedom. During our tour the students heard the sound of a cannon's blast, listened to sailors dressed in seafarers' costumes, learned about the ship's history, and were introduced to the privateer's daily life while on board the ship. Did you know that privateers could preserve meat to eat by using salt? We also listened to "chanteys," songs sung by sailors as they worked. We enjoyed hearing the banjo, tambourine, and harmonica to name just a few of the instruments played aboard the ship. Our students enjoyed the day and had lots of fun picnicing at pier. We returned to BCA with sun kissed faces and stories to tell. All articles are written and posted by the student newspaper staff
