Preschool Director

Mrs. Crews was born in Germany and lived in Maryland for 15 years before moving to Brunswick Georgia in 2000. She is a class of 2003 Glynn Academy graduate. She has a Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Christian Studies. In addition to being our Preschool Director she is a wife and mother. She serves along side her husband in ministry serving young couples and their families. She is passionate about the family unit and seeing it thrive. Her children attend BCA as well. She is a second year teacher and is really enjoying being a part of the family at BCA. |
Preschool Children

Our preschool children learn to read phonetically and write in cursive as well as recognize, spell and write their name. We begin number recognition to 30; language development including geography, community helpers and identification of all types of land and sea animals. Students attend weekly chapel services including bible study and verse memorization. And we have lots of fun too! BCA has a playground and students participate in arts & crafts, sing-a-longs with dance & sign motions and many other fun activities! Registration of preschool is open year round.
Preschool Learning Objectives: 2 year olds: -Language development and listening skills that include color words, shapes, animals, transportation, countries, community helpers,safety, manners, science -Simple counting 1-25 -Number concepts 1-10 -Bible hymns/choruses, Bible memory verses -Music Arts & Crafts include traditional & fun songs 3 year olds: -Recognition of name, sound & picture for short vowels and consonants -Formation of vowels & consonants in upper and lower case -Simple counting 1-30 -Number concepts 1-15 -Bible lessons such as Creation, Noah, Baby Samuel, Daniel, Boyhood of Jesus, Zacchaeus, Good Samaritan -Music Arts & Crafts include colors, shapes, following directions, eye-hand coordination |

Prekindergarten Students

Our prekindergarten students begin to learn to read and write in cursive with phonics. Additionally, students learn number recognition and will be able to count to 100. Students attend weekly chapel service; bible study and memorization are taught as well. Spanish is also a part of our Pre-K program. Pre-K students also have fun in drama and music and present a year-end program! Pre-K students wear uniforms and begin their day at 8am.
Prekindergarten Learning Objectives: 4 year olds: -Phonic & Reading: Recognition of name, sound &picture of long and short vowels and consonants. Sounding of blends & one- and two-vowel words. Reading of sentences & stories with one- and two-vowel words. -Cursive writing -Poetry: 26 poems and finger plays committed to memory -Language: language development & listening skills that include color, words, shapes, animals, transportation, countries, community helpers, health, sfety, manners, science -Numbers: Number recognition & counting 1-100, number concepts 1-20, numbers before & after 1-20, numbers largest & smallest 1-20, addition facts 1+ through 9 -Bible lessons: Creation, Noah, Baby Samuel, Daniel, Boyhood of Jesus, Zacchaeus, Good Samaritan (includes memory verses & hymns/choruses -Music Arts & Crafts: traditional & fun songs, development of motor skills in drawing, coloring, cutting and gluing |
