Ms. Miller was born and raised in Southeast Georgia (Darien), and has lived there for all of her childhood and most of her adult life. She graduated with honors from McIntosh County Academy. She worked in the McIntosh County School System for 10 years as a paraprofessional working with grades K-8. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Counseling with an emphasis in Addiction, Chemical Dependencies, and Substance Abuse from Grand Canyon University in 2019. While continuing to work in the mental health field with adults and adolescents in the inpatient as well as outpatient capacity, she received her Masters of Science in Mental Health and Wellness from Grand Canyon University in 2021. While she enjoyed working with adolescents outside of the classroom in a mental health setting her heart has always been in the classroom as she has a compassion for teaching. She feels that God allowed her the opportunity to work with children in many different stages of the lives, learning about children and the development from the inside out, which has prepared her for her first teaching position at Brunswick Christian Academy.
She has two children, Trinity who will be a junior at McIntosh County Academy, and James who will be entering 2nd grade here at BCA. With God’s grace and mercy she feels she has been blessed with the opportunity to be a part of the educational and spiritual journey of the students here at BCA. She is very excited and cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store.
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
