Dear Friends of BCA:
We had a great spirit week last week along with a beautiful homecoming ceremony and exciting Buzzard’s games! Thank you to everyone who helped make it a great week and for the great spirit we had among our student body.
There are several things happening in the month of March and the first part of April that you will want to make note of.
Friday, March 10 is the final day of the third quarter grading period. Nine-weeks tests and exams will be taking place during that week.
Friday, March 10 is also the K5 field trip to Katy’s Kastle.
Daylight savings time begins on Sunday, March 12. Move your clocks ahead one hour on Saturday night so you are not late for Sunday School and church on Sunday!
The 4th and 5th grade classes will be taking their field trip to the Museum of Science and History in Jacksonville on Friday, March 17.
The week of March 27-30 (Monday-Thursday) will be our achievement testing for K5-12th grades. We will again be taking the Iowa Basic Skills Test. Studies have shown that students who get a little extra sleep during testing time will score better on their tests. Please help your child to do their best.
Friday, March 31 will be a half day of school with dismissal at noon. Please make arrangements to have your children picked up at noon as there is no Aftercare on half days.
The first week of April, 3-7 is our Spring Break! School resumes on Monday, April 10.
Thank you so much for the privilege to be the administrator/principal here at BCA. It’s hard to believe that we are already three-fourths of the way through the school year. Thank you to everyone who has made this a great school year! Let’s continue to have a great year!
In His service,
Mr. Scott Birt
